In 2007, continuing on from a review in 2005 and staffing restructure, Surf Life Saving Tasmania changed its governance structure. The State Council (Presidents of our surf life saving clubs) remains as the peak authority of the organisation. However they have entrusted the day to day operations of Surf Life Saving Tasmania to a Board of Directors who have a mandate from clubs to continue to develop the organisation’s strategic framework as we move past the Year of the Surf Lifesaver, with operational committees chaired by State Officers for Lifesaving, Member Services and Surf Sports.
