In conjunction with Marine & Safety Tasmania, SLST is conducting Personal water Craft (PWC) training in line with the new legislative requirements. Surf Life Saving Tasmania has used Personal Water Craft for rescue work since 1990's. We provide swift water, floods and surf search & rescue services. In addition we provide training to Marine Search & Rescue Police around Australia. The course is broken into a theory and practical session. The time required for the practical programwill depend upon your level of experience. For those who have used a PWC, then an assessment of your competence will be made including any areas (such as towing skiers etc) you may wish to gain a greater knowledge of. For those who have never been on a PWC the course will cover everything you need to safely enjoy your PWC. Arrangements can be made for those who wish or need to attain their boat licence in addition to the PWC licence. Courses are run monthly in the northwest, north and south of the state. In addiiton courses can be arranged in other areas of the state depending upon numbers. Names and numbers are being taken now for courses. Course Requirements
